The Owner Doesn't Accept Tips?

Many of my clients are still baffled when I tell them that I do not accept gratuities. I feel after a business builds a strong foundation, the owner shouldn't accept tips. It just isn't proper. It is so funny how many of you still try to persuade me, feeling bad that you cannot give me a little extra something. Some of you even have tried to slip cash in my pockets or leave money in the treatment room. It was pretty cute and funny, I must say.

So, I got to thinking. Since so many of you are so generous why not accept tips and give them to charity? At the end of every month or so the collected money would go to someone or an organization in dire need. When I told my clients of my plans, the response was so positive that I knew I had to move forward and use Get Waxed as a vehicle to give.

Cedar Rapids Animal Shelter

The floods in Iowa were a tremendous tragedy to many. Our friends at the Cedar Rapids Animal Shelter need our help. Animals have called this place home for years and after the Iowa floods, Cedar Rapids Animal Shelter was condemned and 650 animals have been temporarily displaced. They are now living at Kirkwood College until the shelter raises enough money to move into a new home. Get Waxed is dedicating the month to raising as much money as we can so our dog and cat friends, and their caretakers have the smoothest transition possible with maybe even a little extra kibble.
